The Importance of Leadership
“Without wise leadership, a nation falls; there is safety in having many advisers.” Proverbs 11:14 (NLT)
Our world is in deseparate need of good leadership. We need leadership. If there was ever a time when our world needed leadership, it’s now. Leadership is very important. When there is leadership there is clarity (clear vision), safety (freedom from worry and harm) and victory (a win-win for everyone). Leadership is crucial and vital. Leadership is a necessity for the world we live in. Everything rises and falls on leadership. If something is a success or failure, it’s a result of the leadership. You’re either going to have good leadership or poor leadership. Either way the results will show. Everything either goes uphill or it goes downhill, depending on who’s taking charge. Leadership matters! What is Leadership? My personal definition of leadership is… Leadership is taking people somewhere with a vision in mind (after gaining trust, credibility and influence). We are taking people on a journey to a destination. What is a leader? Why do we need leaders? Why are leaders so important? Let’s answer the question.
I love this quote from John Maxwell, he says “A leader is someone who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.” That is the perfect defintion of what a leader is. Not only that but it shows us WHY leaders are so important.
Why We Need Leaders…
1. Leaders Know The Way
Real true leaders know where they’re going and they know where they want to take us. They know the mission and the goals they have. They are self motivated and they inspire us to come along. All leaders have a vision. The vision should have your best interest at heart. We need leaders that know the way.
2. Leaders Go The Way
Leaders go the way. They follow the course. Leaders believe in themselves and they work towards pursuing the vision they possess. They make dreams a reality. We need leaders that have courage and innovation to move us forward. Somebody’s got to step up and bring change. That’s what the leader does. That’s why we need leaders.
3. Leaders Show The Way
Leaders don’t want followers they want to reproduce more of themselves which is more leaders. Leaders give us guidance. Leaders give us direction. Leaders give us a sense of purpose. Leaders help us recognize and shape the leadership potential that lies within us all. Leaders pull out the hidden greatness inside of us.
Leaders KNOW, GO and SHOW the way. They see the best for us, do the best for us and help us be the best we can be. This is why leadership is so important. They have a plan for the future, they keep us safe and the decisions they make affect us all. Leadership is important. We need leaders. Therefore we need to value, respect and pray for our leaders. We need to vote and choose the RIGHT people to lead this country. Thank God for our leaders who do the right thing and work so diligently to lead us. Let’s understand The Importance of Leadership.
