Jesus tells us that living in dependence on him is a glorious adventure. If you’re like me, you can be so busy trying to accomplish things in your own strength and ability. Some days I succeed, and other days I accomplish very little and feel like a failure. But, if living life is about living in collaboration with Jesus, then it makes sense that the more time I spend with Him, the more fulfilled I will be. Our pastor finished a series on Jonah today. Jonah didn’t want God to save the people of Nineveh that he spoke to about repenting because he didn’t think they deserved to be forgiven. Ha! I feel that way sometimes as well. When I am hurt or disappointed or sad, I am so grateful that I can go to Jesus anytime, tell Him anything, and He understands. This glorious life of adventure is often a roller coaster of emotion for me, but, fortunately, I get to sit with Jesus who has a way of bringing me peace that passes understanding. Now that’s good news!
