Hey friends, today I’m going to share how I earn a cool $1,000 extra each and every month. I earn this extra income month over month and it’s increasing! I talk about it all the time, it’s BLOGGING!

Yes, blogging helps me earn an extra four figures per month that I reinvest back into the blog and stash away any extra towards my savings. Wanna know my secret?

Here’s how I do it

First thing, you’ll need to have a blog, right? Think about what you want to blog about (this is called your niche). The more specific, the better. Next, get your blog created.

It’s so simple to create a blog and I’ve put together this quick and easy tutorial to help you start your blog in less than 20 minutes.

PRO TIP: Must-have hosting (that I use) is Bluehost and #1 blog platform I recommend (and currently use) is Wordpress. You’ll also wanna get your domain which you can also get from Bluehost. Everything is super affordable. Bluehost is just a few bucks a month, really, a few bucks (I paid $2.95/month upfront) and Wordpress is free! Bluehost has an easy 1-click Wordpress activation that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. It will get your blog set up in a snap.

Next step..make it pretty!

You can get a free or paid design. I have a paid design that cost around $70-$80. I consider it totally worth it because I’m a sucker for a cute design and I’m willing to pay for it. I got mine from Studiopress. It’s the Divine theme. Some others:

Third step..add categories and pages

Step 3 is pretty fun. You’re going to set up the components of your blog. Must haves:

  • About Me page (can also be named My Story, My Life, About, etc.)
  • Contact
  • Resources

Your categories can include things like your blog topics, like if you are a food blogger, your categories can be breakfast, gluten free, chocolate, brunch, etc. Make sense?

Some other pages you can add (optional):

  • FAQ
  • Popular posts

PRO TIP: Highly recommend you adding social follow and social share buttons. Social follow buttons are the Twitter bird, Pinterest P, and other social media icons that, when clicked on, will take your reader to your social profile so they can follow you! Social share buttons allow your reader to share your post to Pinterest, Twitter, Stumbleupon, etc.

Social follow buttons might be built into your design template (mine is). If not, check out the Wordpress plugins library to search for some social follow options OR go to the social network directly to get widgets that you can easily place on your site.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
