The links that Kathryn Acosta posted are great introductions to modern monetary theory or MMT which is a description of how the economy operates on a sovereign fiat currency. A critical mass of people must learn it in order to convince Congress to use its monetary sovereignty to benefit the bottom 99% of the population rather than the top 1%. I would also recommend the following links which are great to those who are new to MMT.

“The Basics of Modern Money”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDL4c8fMODk&t=68s

The Facebook page and YouTube channel “Real Progressives” which frequently features MMT trained economists. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1jfVFBZxRUk4M2_3J4ikMw

“Angry Birds” featuring Bernie Sanders’s chief economic adviser, Stephanie Kelton: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1SMjeuyF-Y&t=147s

“Billy Blog” which is a series of blogs written by Australian MMT economist Bill Mitchell: http://bilbo.economicoutlook.net/blog/

“Deficit Owls” which features a series of short video clips of presentations by MMT trained economists: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWXGA051bB7uXlvsiGjvOxw
