An Ode to the iPod Classic

There is a good, technical, reason why these high capacity Classic 160GB iPods are reselling for high prices. It is the trend for high quality, hi-res files that are much larger. All of my 2,500 plus tracks on my iMac are high resolution. I can’t fit them all on my iPhone6.
I use my iPod Classic paired with an Oppo HA2 DAC/headphone amplifier to drive my Grado headphones. The combination sounds amazing, but the iPod is the cheapest component in the system.
Once you have listened to your music at this high definition there is no going back to basic 128Mb files.
