Recently, I bought a socket mount for my iPhone. I wanted one to keep my phone at easier access when I needed to change my music. I decided to get a mount that would also double as a charger for use in the cigarette lighter. The first thing I noticed is the sturdy build of the extension. It is hard to move and bend which is nice so that the iPhone wont move down when it is placed in the holder. The USB charger port is also really nice and the light right above the USB port is lit when it is charging so it gives nice user feedback.

There are two drawbacks I noticed after purchasing the product. The first one is that there are rubber grippers on either side of the bottom of the mount. One of the rubber grippers was extended beyond where it should have been and thus closed up the gap where I can put the AUX cable. However, it was a small fix when I just took a knife and cut that part of the rubber out. The bigger problem was the height in which I coulde extend the mount. The product says that it extends enough to fit my iPhone, however I found that it is too short. But, the back bone bends and I can squeeze my iPhone in snuggly. I don’t mind that I have to squeeze it in, but it does bother me that there was sort of a “bend” in product advertisement.
