If the furniture store down the block can open their doors, it seems the church should have, too. I don’t remember there being verses about the logistics needing to be perfect to feed the 5000. I don’t like Joel’s version of the gospel, but would’ve been happy to be proven wrong by his and the church’s actions. But it’s probably hard to preach the prosperity gospel when most of the city just lost their houses in a flood, right? Maybe it’s just bad for the brand.
