I was having this conversation with a friend the other day. While the 10,000 hour rule seems legit, I think it does a disservice to everyone starting at the bottom. I mean who wouldn’t look down that hole and go screw this, I’m done, when they realize how much work they have left to do?

My advice? Just create things, and keep making things until you get better. Experiment, try different things, ship your stuff, but most of all keep creating.

I think you’ll find that nobody’s counting, anyways. How many hours do I have? I don’t know man, I just write — that’s all any of us can do. 😃
