In The Pursuit of Likes And Follows
It doesn’t matter what colour your button is.
It doesn’t matter how well your landing page converts.
It doesn’t matter how convincing or intriguing your headline is.
And it certainly doesn’t matter how many subscribers you have.
What matters is the message you’re telling the world.
What matters is what impact you’re having on others, and the difference you’re making in your own way.
As Gary Vaynerchuk says, “how you make your money is more important than how much money you make.”
Subscribers are just a number — but influence is more than that.
Influence can reach other people, sure, but it means nothing without engagement — because real, meaningful engagement with your audience can actually make a difference in the lives of others, and goes beyond simply telling others what to do with their lives.
You Need To Do More Than Reach Others
While getting your message heard is important, what really matters is changing the lives of others in a positive way.
Your true followers are out there waiting for you to tell them how to go forward, and only you have the message they need to hear. And they’re depending on you to tell it to them in the way only you can.
So don’t keep your tribe waiting forever.
Go out there and engage, and inspire others to be the best possible versions of themselves — and forget about the numbers or the conversion rates, and focus on the people.
Because people drive businesses, and they always have. And the second we forget about that, we lose touch with what makes us human and we sever the connection we could‘ve had with our audience, as our message simply becomes another grab for their attention, rather than something they actually want to hear. And our voices become another part of the noise, rather than contributing something meaningful to the conversation itself.
