An open reply

I appreciate being offered an opportunity. I’m not sure for what. I have been taking advantage — and it feels like that, like a privilege — of Medium as a place to publish my odd writings, to meet with this small community, and I appreciate that, as well. Perhaps, in this case, the opportunity is to continue using Medium as I have previously. If that’s the case, I cannot. I cannot afford it.

It feels like slinking off, tail between my legs. It feels like failure.
