Kashipur is one of the main cities in the State of Uttarakhand. Known for its all-embracing spirit, it attracts pilgrims and industrialists alike. Since years Kashipur has been a destination for the wildlife enthusiast. A trip to the famous Jim Corbett National Park makes it mandatory for tourists to either stay or pass by from here.

Abode of the Gods

Kashipur is a quintessential part of Uttarakhand, popularly known as the abode of the Gods. With major pilgrim spots like Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Kedarnath, there is no dearth of footfalls to this ethereal land. Kashipur too is home to some popular religious places. Sri Moteshwar Mahadev, Drona Sagar, Giri Sarovar, Gurudwara Nankana Sahab, and Sri Hanuman Dham at Choi are some of the popular places to visit if you have some time at hand. Kashipur holds a mention in the Skanda Purana and has been acknowledged as the final pilgrimage spot after having visited the famous four religious spots, namely, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath. You can even see the ruins of an erstwhile settlement dating back to the 7th Century.

Industrial Face of Kashipur

In the entire lower Himalayas, Kashipur is famous as being one of the major markets, supplying goods all across the mountain range. This is the reason why many industries have set foot here as well. Now flourishing as an industrial centre, you can find several Industrial projects taking lead here. With as many as 33 industries, Kashipur has upgraded its cost of living comparable with any metro city of India.
