Setting Goals & Staying Motivated
As a high school freshman, you may dread your physical education (P.E.) class. However, there are ways to make the best of it and even enjoy it. Here are some tips:
• Set goals for yourself. Whether it’s improving your running time or increasing your flexibility, having specific goals will help you stay motivated.
• Find a workout buddy. Having someone to work out with can make P.E. more enjoyable and help you push yourself harder.
• Get creative with your workouts. If you’re bored with the typical P.E. activities, try mixing things up by adding some exercises or trying new sports.
• Take advantage of free time. If you have a free period before or after P.E., use that time to get an extra workout or practice your skills.
• Stay positive. It’s easy to get discouraged when you do not see results immediately, but remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day! Keep at it, and eventually, you’ll reach your goals.
