This is a profound experience Renee. If we can call it digital addiction, just for the sake of labeling, it falls into the category of all addictions — it’s something we have become habituated to do when we don’t want to feel the pain. And with all addictions, it’s not the thing, it’s what we are running from that drives it.
I struggle with various OCD behavior, digital use being one of them. My mantra these days is devices off, happiness on.
