We are back with our latest weekly update! All of our work has been focused on getting the alpha testnet version of our exchange ready for release and it is very nearly ready. We were going to release it today but we’ve decided to move the release to later this week in order to put the finishing touches on a few key features. Once we launch the exchange, our main focus will be on getting it fully functional and preparing to launch on Ethereum mainnet over the summer.
We will be entering public testing later this week so please join our Discord if you would like to give feedback and request features. As we have mentioned, a key focus of ours while building this exchange has been on infrastructure and testing. It may seem boring but we need to build the base of the house properly so we can quickly add rooms. Expect to see us iterating rapidly once we head into public testing.
As a refresher for what’s to come: BlitzPredict is building a peer-to-peer betting exchange, built on the Ethereum blockchain and focused on sports, esports, and politics. Our goal is to provide low fee, high transparency markets with zero counterparty risk. We are utilizing Augur and 0x, two flagship Ethereum-based protocols, to help us reach our goals. These protocols will allow us to offer betting at the speed of traditional services with the security of blockchain technology, which is really exciting.
Congratulations to 3k8D for winning back-to-back months on our leaderboard! Email email@example.com if you would like to join our leaderboard and record your predictions to the Ethereum blockchain. We released three podcasts last week and will do the same this week. Our podcasts generally range from 10 to 30 minutes in length as our focus is on providing as much information as we can in a short timeframe. Make sure to follow The BlitzPod on on Podbean, Spotify, Google Play, and iTunes.
That’s it for this week’s update! Make sure to look for the alpha release of our exchange later this week — we will be releasing a blog post and a video detailing the exchange. Also make sure to join our Discord if you are interested in testing and giving feedback! And make sure to follow us on Twitter, Telegram, Facebook, Reddit, and Blockfolio for the latest updates to the project! Thanks for reading!
