Giving without expectation is a gorgeous thing to practice. Today’s affirmation is offered with the sole intention of feeling good. Feeling good, I think, might just be the key factor in deliberately creating the kind of experiences we want more of (more good feelings), and sharing that happiness might be the only way to keep it.

Allow Yourself to Receive What You Want and Need

When I practice filling my own cup, giving becomes natural, and joyful.

It doesn’t feel good to give away all your resources to the point of exhaustion and desolation. That’s not the spirit of unconditional giving, because unconditional giving is absolutely inclusive — that means it includes yourself, too.

It feels really good to give from a place of “already full.” Fill your own cup (whenever you need a refill) with self-care in all its various forms, and giving will become your natural inclination, and a joyful experience for everyone involved.

Research studies show that giving makes us happy, is good for our health, promotes cooperation and social connection, evokes gratitude, and it’s contagious. Your sincere generosity inspires others to find their own ways of being authentically generous, warmhearted, lighthearted, kind, supportive, and connected.

Giving is meant to feel good, because we’re wired for that connection. Allow yourself to receive, and giving will become inseparable from receiving.

Giving without Expectation Brings You Closer to the Truth

I feel really good when I give, because I feel connected to who I truly am.

I think the world would be an even better place if everyone practiced living in this truth every day: “I am enough and I have enough.” This is my truth, and it’s yours. The deep-seated belief that we are enough causes us to go out into the world and give only with the expectation of feeling good while we’re giving, partly due to our own full cup.

If we believe we have a full cup — that our lives are abundant and rich, and that more is on its way to us — then giving becomes a celebration and appreciation of that steady stream of abundance, and by feeling good while we’re giving, we attract more opportunities to celebrate our abundance.

We live closer to our truth when we give to others what we know we’re already receiving.

Trusting that you’re truly taken care of sets the foundation for generosity and compassion.

I’m practicing the vibration of knowing that I’m always supported, and that it’s only my task to release resistance to the stream of well-being that flows endlessly. When I’m resistance, I don’t want to give because I feel like there’s not enough for me already. When I’m open to receiving, giving feels like receiving, and it feels really good.

If you need a little support, try this affirmation for adopting an abundance mindset to help you drop the belief that there’s not enough of X, Y, or Z to go around.

Affirmation:

I AM rich. I AM abundant. Because I am a child of the direct source of Love itself. Everything I ask and seek is found and given to me. Everything I pray for is provided for and appears. Everything good and aligned to the essence of my spirit and heart is here, and more continues to come. I am full. I do not resonate with lack for it is not true, at all, in any shape or fashion. I am an conduit of Source Energy itself. I AM taken care of.

And so it is.

When we do things, even seemingly trivial things, in the spirit of joy, we make a tremendous impact on the world around us, because we’re summoning the energy that creates worlds.

This universe operates in a way that might not make much sense to us at first, but the more we read into it, the more perfectly everything plays out to us, and for us. The universal law is that we cannot experience the pleasures of being alive without emitting those same pleasant vibrations.

Doing things in the spirit of joy, love, freedom, and appreciation creates the world we live in to be a joyful, loving, free, and abundant world.

As Esther Hicks explains in the book Ask and It Is Given, “the essence of that which is like unto itself, is drawn.” This is the universal law of attraction that we can either consciously use to propel our preferences, or unconsciously live by. Either way, we live by this law, always, and it is just as real as the law of gravitation.

How we live becomes what we experience. What we focus on consistently and intently becomes the dominant “vibrational pattern” that we hold. We ask with our attention, and we always receive an answer that matches the energy, and vibration, of what we’ve asked for.

I can tell you this: Since everything is subject to the law of attraction, sharing my happiness away (spreading positivity, forgiving, appreciating, being excited for others’ successes, offering compassion instead of judgment, focusing on thoughts that make me happier/asking for more of what I enjoy) has become a sure way to keep.

Be mindful and in the state of compassion daily. Feed yourself vitamins and water to spirit first, then give the remaining abundance of nourishment to others. If you are not feeling full then tend to that. And if someone demands something out of you but you truly are not in the right vibrational state to give freely in that exact moment? Create boundaries and tend to Self before anything else. Living in the reality of the Sacred Cosmic Heart is very real.

Take your time in your journey back to Heaven; home, that is within yourself.

Everything is coming in full circle for you.

You ARE abundant. This truth is on its way to show up to you. If you allow it too.

Until next time, sending love and healing your way,
