Politics — The Ultimate Argument

Trump, Clinton, Johnson, Stein — Is one better than the other? Who knows, I sure don’t, neither is actually doing the job of President of the United States. There are millions of people arguing that they know the answer, that their candidate is the right one for the country. All their arguments are manipulations of images, words and thoughts.

We site quotes, state opinions, formulate theories about why our candidate is best, and why the others are the worst. But how do we know? How can we be so sure that we are right? Quotes taken out of context are useless, they can be interpreted however you want. One snippet of a paragraph, or sentence, can make anyone look opposite of what they are.

Anything that comes out of a politician’s mouth is carefully crafted to manipulate others to make a point. That point might be to gain followers, or put doubt in people’s minds about another candidate. When something is said “off script” then the “Fixers” swoop in and brush it under the rug or spin it to not be as bad. Often times making their client a victim of some “illness”, thus making people feel bad for them and ignoring the original issue/statement.

In our current presidential running, one of the candidates seems to be speaking very candidly, saying exactly what’s on his mind. Does this mean that if elected Trump will follow through on those concepts? Highly doubtful… Some of them are so ridiculous that they are almost impossible, but he is selling his words to many people. People criticize him for being racist, a misogynist, dumb, and many other things. Is he all those things? Maybe… Supposedly he speaks his mind, says whatever he wants. Or is he merely playing the opposing role to his main opponent. Trump is gathering support/supporters because of these statements and ideologies.

Many people think that his ideas are still better than anything his opponent could ever say. After all, his main opponent, Clinton, is anti-American. She lets soldiers die, she’s “in bed” with leaders of terrorist organizations, can’t even satisfy her own spouse. How could a person like that be good for our country? Oh and she’s a woman. Pretty much the opposite of everything Trump is basing his campaign on. Complete coincidence, I don’t believe it to be.

Could all those ideas be truly his own and exactly how he thinks, sure, there is definitely a large portion of America that thinks like that. I don’t know for sure, but I do know that it makes for great politics, heated debates and a presidential race like no other. After all conflict is the greatest form of entertainment.
