Bianjie & Wuhan RHDK Join Forces to Develop Blockchain Based Epidemic Early Warning System
Recently, Bianjie and Wuhan Run He De Kang (RHDK) formed a strategic partnership to jointly develop blockchain based Epidemic Early Warning Systems in fighting with Covid-19.
Wuhan RHDK is a healthcare big data company founded in 2017 and its main focus is to develop advanced medical safety and healthcare risk management systems. During the outbreak of Covid-19 in Wuhan in January 2020, RHDK worked nonstop with the pilot hospitals in Wuhan, and successfully created and deployed the first Chinese “Infectious Disease Early Warning System’’, which is being used in several first class general hospitals, such as Wuhan Tongji Hospital, Wuhan Union Hospital, Wuhan Children’s Hospital, and Taihe Hospital and many others.
RHDK and Bianjie plan to work together to enhance the data safety and privacy protection handling, and improve the efficiency of sensitive data exchange among various healthcare systems — — leveraging the advanced blockchain and privacy computing technology. This collaboration plans to improve the capability of identification and classification of infectious and new diseases, and enhance the medical risks management mechanisms.
Through this collaboration, some pain points in traditional public infectious disease risk prevention and control can be solved to a great extent. For example, risk profile data can be extracted, transformed and encrypted at the collection points and then transferred to the primary healthcare systems via blockchain. In the process of the data exchange among individuals, communities, CDC, clinics, hospitals and government public health management departments, data access authorization can be defined at a fine grain level by authorized parties, also the access/usage of data by each party can be audited to prevent misuse. With the enablement of blockchains, the potential Covid-19 relevant data can be reported automatically and accurately from various sources with privacy protection in near real time, which can effectively avoid the under-reporting, false reporting, concealing and other negative situations of major infectious diseases, providing accurate basis for the public health management departments to identify issues, develop plans and take vigorous measures in a timely manner.
