ECOllection Launch: The inaugural mint on PaintSwap’s NFT launchpad

A few hiccups led to a 24 hour delay to the launch plan, and a stressful last few days saw that become an even more stressful 25.5 hour delay in reality, but we got there and ECOllection successfully launched as the inaugural collection to grace PaintSwap’s fresh NFT launchpad (amazing tech btw)!

I recently outlined the collection in ECOllection: What you need to know about Fantom’s NFT drop of the year but there were a few slight changes to what ended up being the final rollout that I’ll spell out here, but can be summarized as: ecosystem number variations; no elephants; new trait.

Ecosystem and Species Breakdowns

• Desert: 60 (20 Lizards; 10 Lions; 30 Fennec Foxes) + 2 trees
• Marine: 62 (20 Whales; 13 Shrimp; 14 Sharks; 15 Albatross) + 2 trees
• Mountain: 56 (12 Wolves; 15 Moose; 12 Goats; 17 Falcons) + 2 trees
• Rainforest: 63 (12 Tigers; 9 Sloths; 21 Mushrooms; 21 Frogs) + 3 trees

This makes Mountain characters the rarest and Rainforest characters least rare generally, but different numbers in the Species counts ranging from 30 Fennec Foxes to 9 Sloths will come into play as well. The Desert alone only has 3 Species types, but still features the near rarest with just 10 Lions.

There ended up being 9 trees along with 6 surprise Ethereal (as opposed to Material) Realm characters. Airdrop bonuses weren’t factored in for these ghostly tributes to extinct species lost forever, but with the minting change:

• Desert: 62.5 $ECO airdrop x 60 characters
• Marine: 87.5 $ECO airdrop x 62 characters
• Mountain: 100 $ECO airdrop x 56 characters
• Rainforest: 125 $ECO airdrop x 63 characters
• Trees: 250 $ECO airdrop x 9 characters

Desert (62.5 x 60) + Marine (87.5 x 62) + Mountain (100 x 56) + Rainforest (125 x 63) + Trees (9 x 250) = 3,750 + 5,425 + 5,600 + 7,875 + 2,250 = 24,900

There was 100 $ECO left over from the original 25,000 $ECO or 2.5% of supply promised as an airdrop to minters and holders. With 6 Ethereal Realm characters, 15 $ECO will be added to their Ecosystem airdrops.

The final 10 $ECO will be awarded to the next minter (we’re at 72 atm).

50% of the $ECO airdrops will be delivered to minters on mint out; then 25% to holders a week after mint out and another 25% a week after that.
