Touchhour, more commonly known as the development team behind the Enjin-backed title, 9 Lives Arena, has steadily been working on its labour of love ahead of its upcoming closed beta.

Consisting of 999 places, users will be able to test out the ecosystem, hammer out and craft with their blueprints and battle over the throne and a prize pot of $10,000 CAD.

We took some time to speak to the development team about the game, how the studio got started, and their interest in the world of blockchain technology.

Digital assets have introduced a whole new approach to ownership, buying, and selling. But while the prospect of a player-driven marketplace brings with it additional challenges.

So what sets Auctionity / DomRaider apart?

Along with being a multi-national team, Domraider/Auctionity was set up with the goal of streamlining the auction system. According to the team’s International Development Officer, Karin Mikluha, buying and selling digital assets brings a major issue of trust for users.

“When you go onto any site where you want to buy something,” Mikluha explains, “very often, there’s a serious problem for both the buyer and the seller in making sure that the item is received [buyer] and paid for [seller].” …

It has been a turbulent year for most blockchain game projects but one of the previously most high profile outfits has gone pretty much under the radar during 2018.

Labelled by some as ‘Steam on the blockchain’, Robot Cache was announced with some fanfare back in the crypto boom year of 2017. But aside from the proverbial whitepaper and a modest $3 million funding round in September, little further of substance had emerged from the PC distribution platform.

Cross Chain integration is a rapidly growing trend among blockchain game developers.

Each bringing with it innovative mixtures in terms of game mechanics, chains and how they intend to utilize them for players.

One of the examples of this is 0xWarriors, which originally started out on EOS, before making the choice to leverage TRON too. (TRON Foundation)

In total, the game makes use of digital assets and has players on EOS, ETH, and TRON. Which is what makes its ongoing pre-sale all the more interesting.

In November 2018, the game’s team had managed to begin and conclude a successful item pre-sale. Now, with its entrance to TRON, and its more extensive user-base, it’s likely to gain more of a positive reception. …
