One click transaction notification
Joe just received few bitcoins from his friend. However, the transaction isn’t confirmed even after 20 minutes. He frantically checks a blockexplorer and curses the probability gods on why there has been no block in the last half an hour. Finally, the transaction confirms after an hour. By now, he has done two reddit posts and checked 10 different blockexplorers to know more about the transaction.
Monitoring addresses / transactions is a common problem faced by many in the bitcoin world. We at blockonomics are introducing a simple, no-nonsense solution for monitoring your address. Goto blockonomics , search a bunch of addresses to watch and then click on monitor. You will receive a push notification of confirmed transaction on the address(es).
The notifications work both on mobile/web and are powered by Chrome 42 notification API. The great thing is that you don’t need to be actively browsing for the notification to arrive. The notification is delivered next time you open your browser.
To avoid spam, the monitored address is removed from our server after one notification / 24 hours (whichever is earlier). For repeated notifications on same address you can use wallet watcher (having email notifications) or click monitor again on same address.
