BLOCKv has partnered with CataBoom and Alienware Arena to launch a new type of vAtom in the gaming space. CataBoom is a SaaS based marketing engagement platform that allows you to create, modify and launch gamified rewards. Alienware Arena is Dell Computer’s leading edge PC gaming company, supporting the ever expanding technical requirements of the fast paced gaming technology sector.
Alienware Arena offers PC gamers an online portal to enjoy free gaming content, event coverage, tournaments, and advice. Alienware Arena aims to unite PC gamers around the world. Ultimately, it’s where a brand meets community. Arena membership is free and gives members access to the most exclusive in-game items, early beta access to some of the most sought after pre-released games… and the chance to win cool prizes!
BLOCKv is honored to be part of the next iteration in the gaming revolution. The launch happens today, April 5th, 2018, at PAX East, a gaming culture festival in Boston, MA that involves tabletop gaming, arcade gaming, and video gaming.
Presenting: Alienware Arena Game Vault vAtom!
BLOCKv took on the challenge to help create the world’s first game inside a vAtom. The result is the Alienware Arena Game Vault vAtom.
The objective of the Game Vault vAtom is to bring a unique and engaging experience during the PAX East gaming convention. Since vAtoms excel at gamifying the world, it was a natural fit to enhance the onsite PAX experience by building a game vAtom.
How it Works:
- Users text “Arena” to 41411 to acquire their digital object.
- Upon the download of the vAtom Viewer app, users follow a few simple steps to claim their Alienware Arena Game Vault.

- Clicking on the Alien head, automatically links user’s Alienware Arena account to the game play. Winnings will be deposited directly into user’s Arena account. After registration, users will see the official game board light up which gives access to the individual quests and the ability to unlock games.

- Venturing on mini quests or answering trivia questions to unlock games provides the opportunity to win prizes to users both at the conference and outside of it.
The Game Vault vAtom sends users at PAX East on mini quests to unlock games within the game board. Once unlocked, the game is available to play. Users can win Arena Points (ARP) or Steam Codes. These prizes are automatically deposited into the Arena account. The more games a user wins, the more entries they have to win the grand prize: an Alienware Aurora system!
One of the most exciting and unique aspects of this activation is that it is not an exclusive event to attendees of Pax East. The team created a way for non-attendees to answer trivia questions, play and be entered to win the grand prize. Simply answering the trivia questions or being present on Alienware Arena at the right time and entering the secret code allows one to participate and have a chance to win a prize.
Individual quests completed and games that are “Playable”
Naturally, the better you play, the more rewards you win, including earning additional entries to win the grand prize drawing.
The alien head in the middle of the app tracks and shows how many entries the user has earned. The drawing for the Grand Prize winner will occur after PAX East. The winner will be announced on Alienware Arena once the winner has been contacted and their eligibility has been verified.
