The Global Consciousness Project: Investigating Mass Events and the Collective Unconscious

The Global Consciousness Project (GCP) is recognized as an innovative pursuit in analyzing the interconnectedness that exists within the human mind. It also explores how the linked human consciousness influences a person’s surroundings. Pioneered by Roger Nelson, the GCP was established in 1998 at Princeton University. There it surveyed behavior that was once unheard of, at the time the newly developing PEAR (Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research) lab.

The GCP searches for physical evidence to implement, support, and further define the intangible tools and technologies. Of those, they look for evidence that can detect correlated behavior in the global society during a variety of occasions. Some of those times are fun, and some of them are in the event of a disaster. It helps to further illuminate the oblivious collective unconscious.

The project also emphasizes the unconscious effect the subconscious mind has on natural disoriented acts in the world (Radin). Among those misshapen occurrences, the Project eventually dictates an understandable reflection behavior.
