Questions I ask myself when crowdfunding an MMO
David Bass

I ask myself one question — is this a “traditional” MMO? If the answer is yes then I stay away. The money from kickstarter is going to be a tiny portion of the budget so either they have other funding and it is a marketing campaign or they are trying to put together a prototype to go get funding. I don’t want to pay to be part of a marketing campaign and I definitely don’t want to fund a speculation where the best outcome is that the KS money is so dwarfed by investment so that it becomes unimportant.
