Why is it that whenever boys do their “thing”, it is completly okay/normal and by “thing”, I mean, sports, video games, cars, and other manly shit. But whenever girls do their “thing” like, makeups, clothes, shoes, etc., they are considered as “maarte” or “pabebe”?

Why is it that whenever girls are into basketball or video games, it is considered as “cool” but when boys are into fashion or makeup, they are automatically called “gay”?
