Maximize Your Brand’s Content with Cohesive Messaging and Diverse Content

The cliche goes, “content is king,” but we’d argue that content use is the real leader in digital marketing. Without cohesive messaging, your brand could fall flat and no longer attract the attention — and therefore, sales.

Cohesive messaging takes a goal, breaks it down into content, then aligns it across channels to send the same message at the same time.

Cohesive Messaging Across Social Media Channels

Cohesive messaging will reinforce your goal on multiple platforms. When planning content across multiple social media channels, timing is key. Instead of sharing the same photo on the same day, share a similar photo with the same call-to-action. In the same way, avoid creating too dissimilar of posts.

If you’re posting a DIY face mask recipe on your blog, then share it on Facebook that day. Then share on Instagram the next day with a similar photo to continue directing traffic there. We recommend adding in an Instagram Story as well!

By crafting this messaging dance, you’ll solidify your messaging for a cohesive look on multiple platforms.

Plan for Messaging Success

Maximizing your content through cohesive messaging isn’t complicated, but it does require some organization. By planning a month’s worth of content at a time, you can accurately plan how much content you need and in what order to post it.

Let’s say this is the content you have available to work with for the month:

  • 4 blogs
  • 2 influencer posts
  • 20 photos with 5–7 different scenes or themes

When posting 5 times per week, Instagram will consist of most, if not all, of the photos. (Depending on the month, influencer reposts, or photos from the previous month.)

Then, align the photos you’re posting on Instagram with the blog posts on your website and on Facebook. Leave room for the influencer posts; if it’s time sensitive you can share those on each platform on the same day.

By coordinating all your content, you can create a cohesive online presence that supports your brand. It takes planning, but this system is one of the best ways to grow a curated yet real online presence that will entice customers.
