It’s Not About Race!
John Metta

This was a fantastic piece, I am sharing it in hopes everyone reads it because knowledge is power and the more people know about how others think and feel the better. The better the chance for empathy which is sorely lacking in the world, for many of the reasons you mention here, John.

I’m ashamed and embarrassed by the culture I’ve grown up in and live in today. I’m terrified that I won’t be able to teach my children differently when everything and everyone that is different gets marginalized and pushed to the fringe.

I have a problem with what the man from the discussion group says right at the start. How do you get to the HEART of something by discarding or discounting emotion? And he doesn’t even realize how that sounds.

Thanks, John, for writing this and sharing it. I’ll share it as widely as my reach allows.
