6 Lessons learned from 2022 that will make my 2023 diffrent ☀️

Prelude

As I beginning my 2023. Few signs of new years start to hit me
- Strawberry season at Swensens
- Chinese new year clothes at Pomelo shop
- Valentine is coming
These are signs of the dead of 2022 to me.

It also says :
“hey! you’ve been here last year, how are you doing differently now?”

And my inner self terribly replied :
“Oh no … not so different ..😞 ”

So, here’s a shortlist of what I think 2022 has taught me:

  • Hope & Hard work Wins — Bangkok election. Seeing them work from the very early days (2 years before the election), building relationship with communities, collecting people voice of problems & wishes, , hard think about the policy, crafting and executing the campaign — fresh, conscious, and powerful. Finally H&H wins. ✳️ 8️⃣ ✳️

  • Lean into the present moment — I’ve learned that surfing requires so much of letting go. You must lean into the present moment, not thinking ahead, just the present environment. / Don’t look at your feet / / Look At The Palm Tree! / Look at where you want to go 🌄
  • Wave does not wait for you — You catch the wave. (The road also)

I hope I will master surfing just once. 🏄‍♀

  • You are an average of 5 people around you —Late Q3 and Q4 has been significant to me in the sense that it has thrown me into new group of interesting people. And they are PMs! (better than PMS) hahahaa 😆 Talking to them are like a light to this dark sea which has no sunshine for a long time lol. Like a water to desert 🏜 The book installed in people which I need.🤓 To feel that people around me is developing so that I will do that for myself too. This may sound a bit uninspiring, but here’s who I am. I just feel I am becoming a better person. Now they left.
  • 3 things to think before speak —is it useful, is it kind, is it true —
This is an old but goal rule, I have known for a long time. But just this year that I felt I made a mistake from not following it. Well.. sometimes, you may need to be aggressive, but from my experience it’s always better to go with an emotionless way.

  • I can have discipline too — just for running. I have learned that when I prepare the running cloth and wear the running shoes. On that day, at least I will complete 2.45 km. at Lumpini park. That’s the minimum thing I can do to make myself proud. Running is such a work & reward I can give to myself. It’s also interesting that you can run for 500 km. by running 5 km. a day x 100 days, that’s 2 times a week!! 1 year you get 500!

Let’s take this mantra with everything I want to do 🙂

Working backward, 1/2023-me is different from 1/2022-me now.

Let’s…not repeat the same mistakes..

🤞
