we’re all enduring a different version of the same thing and it’s so easy to give advice when we’re not experiencing something first hand. When we’re not the person who needs to take difficult, sometimes-agonizing steps to make a change.
If We Could Solve Each Other’s Problems

I kept on nodding on these words. My heart and mind completely agree! Sometimes, no matter how much we want to help fix a problem, the only and most compassionate thing we can do is just listen. We utter one word and we are at risk of worsening the situation. Sometimes, the touch of our hands or the warmth of a hug is enough to let the other know “I am here.” To turn things around completely. Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give is our presence.

Thank you for this wonderful piece. Cheers!
