I went to Milan Design Week (Milano Salone) to study design.

I went to Milan Design Week. Milan Design Week is a design festival where various brands in Milan city all participate.
イタリア・ミラノで毎年開催されているミラノデザインウィーク(通称ミラノ・サローネ)に行ってきました。ミラノデザインウィークはメイン会場フィエラ(国際家具見本市)を中心に、ミラノ市街全域の様々なショップが参加する、デザインのお祭りのようなもの。

The main venue will be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays. So I will go around the main venue on Friday and the city center in Milan on the 2nd and 3rd. (I made a mistake of buying a three day ticket at the main venue)
土日はメインのフィエラ会場が一般公開されるとのことだったので、1日目金曜日にフィエラ(国際家具見本市)、2,3日目にミラノ市街をまわることにしました。(よく調べずにネットでフィエラ3日券を先に買ってしまった)

Sika Design is good feeling. The Italians laughing happily.

Italians are cool. I want to take pictures.

I can encounter many beautiful designs.

Brands around the world are exhibiting at the main venue. Buyers from all over the world gather to see it. The main venue is a very big facility.
フィエラはビックサイトやメッセみたいな所で、ブースで仕切られた中で、世界中の家具ブランドなどが出展し、そこに世界中からバイヤーがやってきていました。あまりに広大な施設なので、気になるブランドを見ているだけで気づけば1日があっという間に過ぎていました。

Day 1 / Walking 40,000 steps, Day 2 / 27,000 steps, Day 3 / 26,000 steps. Especially the beautiful exhibition …
1日目4万歩、2日目2.7万歩、3日目2.6万歩と足腰ひいひいいってましたが、特に目を奪われた美しい展示は以下3つでした。

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton was beautiful. It was wonderful.

Gorgeous. it’s beautiful. Polite with upper quality.

Louis Vuitton was exhibiting in a historic building called Palazzio Bocconi. Tradition. Refined. Immutable. Design is amazing.
ルイ・ヴィトンは、パラッツィオ・ボッコーニという歴史のある建物で展示をしていました。伝統と洗練と普遍の気持ち良い所をついていて、デザインってスゴいなあって。

Everyone’s face tells everything.

Sony Design

Sony design was interesting. I can control light and sound by turning my finger on the material.

There are lots of content that tickles sensation.

I saw the future a little. It is fun to manipulate light with your fingertips. Oh, I feel good.
ほんのちょっと先の未来を提示してくれているのだと思うけど、自分の指先で光を操ってプロダクトを制御するって体験は、実際にやってみると、思ってるよりも気持ちよくって(細部の仕上がりが良いせいか？)、あぁ気持ち良いなあと。

It is a comfortable space. A nice wind blows.

Seiko’s exhibition was also good. Good quality, good branding.

The exhibition of MINI was also good. A display that makes history feel. Cars of Paul Smith design are also cute.

Landscape I saw at Milano Salone.

The hotel is expensive during the Milan Design Week. It can not be less than 30,000 JYN per night. All the exhibits were fantastic overall. It feels good not to be too technical. I want to go again, I want to participate.
ミラノデザインウィーク期間は、ホテル1泊3万以下にならない…というのがちょっとアレですが、全体的にどの展示も目の保養になってとても楽しかった。テックに寄りすぎない感じが僕には丁度良かったです。また行きたいなあ、というか出展したい笑。

The hotel was near San Siro Stadium. AC Milan’s home stadium. Milan was hot. I can drink beer from the morning and see the cutting edge design. What a lovely city!
ホテルはサンシーロ近くだったので、ついでにミランも見てきました。ミラノ暑くて日焼けしたけど、朝からビール飲みながら、最先端のデザインに触れられて、なんと素敵なデザイン研修って感じでした。
