We’re excited to announce that we’ve added two great individuals to our team! We couldn’t be more proud to have Nathan and Emily as part of the Blue Seat Family, so we’re going to brag on them for a moment.

Nathan joined the Army ROTC in 2007 at Cedarville University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government in 2011 and was commissioned as an officer in the Ohio National Guard where he currently serves as a 1st Lieutenant. Around the time of his graduation and commission he learned iOS development as an understudy of his father (affectionately known as “The Dark Wizard”). He worked on the first few updates we made to Cincy Lineup back in 2012, as well as the most recent update released last August. In the past three years, Nathan has become one of the most talented front-end iOS developers we know.

Aside from the hard work he dedicates to the military and his development work, he enjoys watching a good Premier League soccer match and the occasional American football game. He’s a novice blade maker, skilled with a French Press (or any coffee brewing method for that matter) and a regular volunteer in his church community. Most of all, he’s an extremely nice and intelligent guy.

It’s going to be a great year of product development for Blue Seat, and we’re thrilled to have Nathan heading up our iOS development efforts.

Welcome, Nathan!

Emily Witt is a bright, young student who leads an incredibly full life. She’s in her 2nd year at the University of Cincinnati working toward a degree in Communication with a PR Certificate and a minor in Electronic Media.

She’s a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, and has taken on a wide variety of jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities in a few short years. She’s worked as a beat writer for UC’s baseball team and with the University’s Sports Communications office, held internships at ESPN1530 and a Cincinnati PR firm, and volunteered at the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum and the Urban Youth Academy where she helps young women become their best selves off the field. Her work ethic and energy are unmatched, and her ambitions for her future career endeavors are even greater.

Emily is also a huge Reds fan and a proud member of the #RedsTwitterFamily, a group of online Reds fans who meet and hang out at the games. Some of them have become her closest friends. She often says, “GABP is my home, but it wouldn’t be my home without my family.”

We met Emily last summer, and she’s played a big part in several of the new initiatives we’ve taken on in recent months like Redsfest and our Christmas Blue Seat Giveaway.

She’s now officially onboard as our first ever intern. She’ll be heading up our communication efforts over the next several months and will also contribute to our content strategy and operation.

Welcome, Emily!

Nathan and Emily are exactly the types of people we want on our team. They’ve got strong minds and big hearts. They’re amazing individuals who have already contributed so much, and they’re crucial to our growth moving forward. We’re blessed and grateful for the opportunity to work with them.
