    Esther and Kaveri

Two women. Parallel lives. Disturbed. Distraught, crumbling against an unrelenting social order. Esther and Kaveri.I have to thank a friend for introducing me to the greatness of Sylvia Plath. The day I stumbled upon the name was when I read about her sad life and end. Her troubled marriage to writer Ted Hughes. This journey of discovering Plath led to eventually reading her classic, “The Bell Jar”. What a marvel of a genius. She created Esther Greenwood from the recesses of her own troubled mind. Why was I constantly dogged by the feeling that I knew Esther before I read about her?
