I think you hit the nail on the head with what’s going wrong with the Republican Party lately. The party has many great values built into their platform, but those values are increasingly being eschewed for more far right ideals that are being propagated by “info-tainment” outlets. They sway public opinion and then, politicians and Republican leaders, in turn, change their stances and approaches so as not to be ousted in the next election. I myself am a right leaning moderate and hoped beyond hope that a Kasich nomination would somehow happen. This country needs common sense and fair governance. But now we seem to have to choose between two candidates that will be picking the lesser of two evils.
