Do not aspire to be. Just be.
If you aspire to be something, you will end up being nothing.
“It is one thing to study war
and another to live the warrior’s life.”
— Telamon of Arcadia
If you aspire to be, you believe you aren’t already what you aspire.
If you aspire to be, you believe you aren’t capable of being what you aspire.
If you aspire to be, you lock yourself to a prison cell within your own mind, and you throw away the key.
You become trapped. Trapped in a cycle. A cycle of thinking that never leaves you feeling “ready”. It’s because ready is a made up sense of feeling to keep people believing that they are still amateurs, unfit to be the person that they are meant to be.
You will never be ready.
You have to just start being the person that you must be.
You can’t aspire to be. You just have to be.
If you aspire, you procrastinate. You insult your potential. You lie to yourself.
The only way to be true to yourself, to truly be, rather than aspire, is to just start. Start being who you must be. Start creating what you must create. Start living the life that you must live.
That is when you will become. That is when you will cease to aspire, and you will just be true. You will be you.
