My Creativity Manifesto.

These past few months I’ve been working on creating my Creativity Manifesto.

It is my public declaration of what creativity means to me and my intentions of how I will move forward as a creative person.

This past day has been spent building it.

9 hours later, and here it is.

My Creativity Manifesto:

Discover where you are going, who you are going with, and why you are going.

Reflect on the road taken in order to see the paths ahead. Follow your passion and lift off for the moon. Welcome the unknown. Explore the magical and the unimaginable, and journey into places that do not exist yet.

Lose sight of the shore, be patient, and trust in the process. Look with the eyes of your soul and engage the essential. Never stop questioning. Be curious. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it lived nine lives. Break past your comfort zone and jump off the edge in order to learn to fly.

Experience life in order to discover. Make connections. Uncover stories. Create stories. Explore tomorrow, and discover what is next.

Take risks. Risk everything. Fail. Cherish the valleys; they are the roots of your creative journey. Stop asking for permission. Walk alone in order to discover, but leave a path for others to share in the treasure. Silence your VOJ, and choose love over fear. Don’t be afraid to be labeled a fool. Stand naked in order to explore the exceptional. Choose to hear the music and dance wildly. Know when you are in a prison and blast a hole in the wall.

Get busy doing what you want to be known for. Create, build, or grow something in order to change the world. Aim high. Go for the game changers, the world changing ideas. Start now. Not tomorrow. Build something new every single day. Never take the first right answer. Or the second. Dive into the area of discovery. Good is not enough. Do not take the easy route. Strive for better. Turn moonshots into reality.

Be and do. Trust in your gut. Blink and feel the jolt. Be fully present and trust in your intuition.

Fall in love with the world. Show others what is in your heart through your work. Show your soul in every piece of work that you touch. Your life is your art.

Die empty in a blaze of awe-inspiring ecstasy.
