The time to take action is now.
Not tomorrow. Not a year from now. Not three weeks from now.
So get the fuck up. What are you doing?
Waiting for the “right” moment? Well, it doesn’t exist.
There is never a right moment, because there will never be a time that makes what you need to do easy.
It’s going to be hard. It’s going to be tough. You will want to give up. You need to wake up and embrace that difficulty. Embrace the tough moments. Walk through the dirt. Climb those mountains. Walk through the valleys. Walk into the darkness of those unexplored alleyways. All of it.
You have to embrace the dark moments in order to ever walk into the light.
Because the light is the truth. And you will never be able to walk into that truth, unless you embrace the difficulty. It will beat you down until you are nothing. Everything that has ever filled your head will vanish. The journey has beaten it out of you.
All the nonsense. All the bullshit. All the lessons and advice from the has-beens and nobodies. The only thing left is the truth. The only thing left is you. Waiting for you to stand back up and say “Is that all you got?”.
Waiting for you to stand back up and become who you have been all along.
“The most dangerous man on earth is the man who has reckoned with his own death. All men die; few men ever really live.”
— John Eldredge
Life is hard. But living a life that is true to yourself? It’s damn near impossible. But you know what? It’s the only life worth living. And I’d rather die on the journey than live a life that is a lie.
