Weekly Roundup of Creativity | Issue #8: Book’s I’m Reading
Short snippets from the past week of what drew my attention. What inspired. And what sparked thought. This week I am focusing on the books that I am currently working through. Here is my weekly roundup of creativity for the soul. I hope it sparks thought in your life as well.
“Most of us have two lives. The life we live, and the unlived life within us. Between the two stands Resistance.”
— Steven Pressfield
I can’t read one book at a time. Instead, I like to read a mixture of different ones. Picking them up, reading some, and then switching to a different topic the next time. It leads to a variety of different topics and books:
Robert F. Kennedy: Ripples of Hope by Kerry Kennedy
“Kerry Kennedy, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy, shares personal remembrances of her father and through conversations with politicians, media personalities, celebrities and leaders, explores the influence that he continues to have on the issues at the heart of America’s identity.”
Choose Wonder Over Worry by Amber Rae
“Why do we hold back from pursuing what matters most? Why do we listen to the voice inside our head that tells us we’re not good enough, smart enough, or talented enough? How can we move beyond the fear and doubt that prevents us from creating a life that reflects who we truly are?
CHOOSE WONDER OVER WORRY is your official invitation to face your fears, navigate your discomfort, and rewrite the ‘worry myths’ in your mind that keep you from being your best and truest self.”
let my people go surfing by Yvon Chouinard
“This is the story of an attempt to do more than change a single corporation — it is an attempt to challenge the culture of consumption that is at the heart of the global ecological crisis.”
“Questlove — musician, bandleader, designer, producer, culinary entrepreneur, professor, and all-around cultural omnivore — shares his wisdom on the topics of inspiration and originality in a one-of-a-kind guide to living your best creative life.”
Hope you enjoyed this weekly roundup of creativity, inspiration, and thought provoking substance.
Would love to continue the discussion. Comment your thoughts or what sparked thought in your life this past week!
