You can solve anything.

I had an opportunity to hear Eric Garcetti, the mayor of LA, and Steve Aoki two weeks ago at Fast Company’s Creativity Counter-Conference.

Eric Garcetti shared the advice that President Obama had given him.

“You can’t live by the headlines of today. You can solve anything. It won’t be by tomorrow, but you must carry on every day, because you can eventually solve it.”

Keep carrying on.

Don’t worry about what people are saying today.

Don’t worry about what people are saying tomorrow.

You can’t live your life based on what everyone else is saying. You can’t live your life based on all the headlines that are trying to garner views and reactions.

You have to walk your own path.

You have to work towards accomplishing the problems that you want to solve.

You won’t solve it tomorrow, but you can solve it.

By carrying on every single day and continuing to hustle. Continuing to put in the work, regardless of what others say. You can solve anything.

Eric Garcetti is trying to solve the poverty and homelessness problem in LA.

He won’t solve it tomorrow. He won’t solve it next week. But eventually, I know, and I believe, that it will be solved.
