That wasn’t my point at all, but I suppose I can see how you got there. I would ask you this, however, and it’s a sincere question — why did you feel the need to raise doubts about the author’s claim that women are often attacked by men for rejecting their attentions? Are people often attempting to convince you to blindly believe that women misrepresent the degree of danger they feel from men in their day to day lives? What degree of evidence do you require before you’re convinced?
