Thank you for your response. I don’t know why this approach is taken in America but I will advocate for treatment of mental health issues and support it til I am blue in the face.

I have always wanted to be a part of prison reform as I’ve seen so many get caught in this revolving door…with no option of getting treatment and bettering themselves. You have more experience than I but you’re right…the more people speak out, the more awareness we can raise!
