I do not necessarily see it as a cyclical process. Teacher and student beliefs are iterative and reciprocal of each other and both together influence actions and outcomes. Also, actions/outcomes and teacher/student beliefs are iterative and reciprocal of each other as well. Finally, let’s not forget societal and institutional beliefs that influence the educative experience. Complex, it is.
