A PETITE FILM REVIEW: Comfortably Numb

What would it be like to live a life devoid of hope, happiness or meaning after great tragedy and then more sorrow weighted down upon tragedy? Watching this film is what it feels like. Stumbling through life eaten away with grief and guilt in a numb fog completely unable to recover, Casey Affleck delivers an outstanding, powerful, internal performance of a man who is a living corpse. There is no hope in family, relationships, religion or community in his life of solitary grief.

On another note, if you want to know why some white working class men voted for Trump? This film will give you some insight into that if you consider its broader context.
