BoatPilot ecosystem also includes hardware component. This component is the innovative wireless hardware module called BoatGod, that is designed to work with the vessel’s different systems via NMEA standard. The aim of this module is to gather geo-data that will be used to update marine charts used in BoatPilot navigator.

We’ve foreseen the possibility to install additional sensors to improve the amount and quality of collected data. As for the module itself, it is easy to install and does not require any special knowledge. The data gathered by BoatGod is transferred via Wi-Fi.

BoatGod allows NAVY token geo-mining. In order to start mining and earn tokens you have to install BoatGod on your vessel or rent a vessel with installed BoatGod module. Users will be rewarded with NAVY when they share their geo-data, the more relevant data you upload, the greater your NAVY token reward would be.

Geo-data is of extreme importance to our project — it allows us to keep the most up-to-date charts, so we are greatly interested in constantly receiving it.

Our plan is to install BoatGod to hundreds of charter yachts in the Mediterranean region in the nearest future. BoatPilot team will later announce how exactly to find a yacht with BoatGod and earn tokens!
