Wild Cafe

This is a personal favourite Bath cafe of mine, both for breakfast and lunch.

The deliciousness is only matched by the selection of dishes. Start the day with a choice of scrambled eggs and chorizo or avocado on your morning toast. When lunch time rolls around, you will be eager to come back to try the rabbit pie or go for the classic of fish and chips.

A lot of the food is locally sourced and freshly prepared, right down to the home-made mayonnaise. The care and attention lends itself to the high quality of food that they offer.

Wild can be found on Queen Street, the quaintest cobbled street in the city. It also offers a vintage guitar shop, gin and wine bar, vintage clothes shop, and the best pub in Bath for pies.

The glorius fruit pancakes is the perfect sugar rush for a morning treat. Three chunky pancakes separated by chopped bananas, decorated with blueberries and cut strawberries and then drizzled with copious amount of syrup.

Why not go back to basic with a bacon sandwich. I firmly believe that thick cut and fresh bread makes a bacon sandwich. Put that together with the generous serving of rashers that Wild provide and you have yourself a very satisfying breakfast.

One of the most important features of a great breakfast is quality of coffee. Wild Cafe serves one of the finest (and cheapest) cappuccinos in the city (they also offer take away).

There are a couple of caveats with Wild. Like any cafe, they are sometimes caught short between deliveries so your first choice might not be available.

In addition, there was a understaffed period where orders were too slow, so we avoided it for a while. However, the owner has recently returned from travelling and service has picked up dramatically.
