This is good. I find that active listening is not practiced enough - not just listening but actively engaged in realizing what the other person is saying. Sometimes we listen to respond instead of listening to understand.

I also like your highlighting of non-verbal cues. That is so important. It's why i don't like conversations on the phone. I feel like I am blind - not able to incorporate the non-verbals which are so important to effective communication. It took me a while to realize why i was so phone-averse.
