So, it’s not a matter of privilege. The idea that one is better because of race is personal and not a privilege. Anybody can have such an idea of superiority, and anyone can reject such an idea. We shouldn’t want a race war on the outside either. Promoting the idea that it costs somebody anything because someone different from themselves feels privileged because of their race is fueling a race war. A good job, money, nice neighborhood, peace, and such don’t come with the color White, it comes with the culture a person adapts to. Unfortunately that culture wasn’t widely available to everybody until fifty or so years ago. If rejecting American “Whiteness” means rejecting the culture, equality and the benefits assumed to go with it will never be attained.
