In fact, it was a subject of much discussion, not just on the broadcast itself, but on the mlb channel. In both cases, the discussion was as much about “when” it was ok to break up a no-hitter with a bunt as “if” it was ok. And some analysts and former players indicated they thought it should not be done.

And there was a sense of “it’s not nice” in some of the discussion, that it sullied the game somehow.
