I had no idea the OCD spectrum was so vast. I have a mild version but your expose really opened my mind to its potential. Have you ever considered music? Musicians practice patterns over and over and for me it always felt good to do this, despite the fact that I spent most of my life “woodshedding” drum rudiments, trumpet & flute scales, arpeggios and tonguing techniques and acoustic bass fingerings, chords on the piano, etc. All extremely repetitive comprehensive and motor coordination stuff but perhaps an excellent way to sublimate OCD tendencies. So much of music is organized into groups of 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, 5’s and so on. PLus you can organize beats, rhythms and phrases to suit your own needs. But I enjoyed reading your article and now have a tip-of-the-iceberg understanding of the OCD experience . :-)
