What fossil fuel was Denmark running, coal, natural gas or diesel at the time of high wind production.

It is harder to ramp the production of a coal plant up or down but I thought natural gas and diesel could ramp up or down pretty dramatically pretty quickly. Maybe the answer is for Denmark to abandon coal as the back-up system and just use LNG. LNG is expensive but if Denmark can limit use to non-windy period they could have less CO2, cleaner air and competitive rates.
