Thanks for reply James ! glad this was helpful, I really do like the comparison to a lottery as well, glad it helped with understanding. The 5% payout is definitely hard coded into the wallet. I can’t say it will remain like this forever, but if any change were to happen (chances are VERY low in my opinion) it would be executed via a community voting process using the POS capabilities on the blockchain. Similar to how the community voted to enable segwit on NAV Coin using the voting bits. Yet another hugely underrated advantage of POS. Maybe I will add a section about this in the article to explain its advantages and usefullness. Thanks!
