I and everyone else I know supports separation of church and state. Probably why your posts are so utterly disturbing to me. The Christian religion in its conception was used by an insurgency to overthrow an occupying force. Throughout history governments and movements have used religion for political agenda; often to horrible ends.

What is the difference in you supporting obvious agenda within “Think Progress” or whatever popular Trump Hater flavor of the day; than another religious organization working their agenda through a political party that supports same goals. Obviously and thankfully “Think Progress is not a government but they do have political aims.

I have seen all of these tactics before in Afghanistan; I think we called it the Taliban. “Oh the Government of Afghanistan is horrible and we are the party of religion.” “We are the true believers and those that sit in power are just using faux beliefs to control the people.” “ Here you go I will give you a new loudspeaker for the mosque and here is some of fresh naan I extorted from that non believer down the road.” “Just wipe off the blood it will be fine”

“Those who plant injustice will harvest disaster,” says King Solomon (Proverbs 22:8).

Kinda what happened to the democratic party when they started ignoring every poor person that was not the right color and lived outside of the city limits. Oh look; I used religion to support an agenda; aren’t I clever.

So we definitely agree on separation of church and state; it appears that you cannot tell the difference when it comes to your agenda. There is no political party, movement or otherwise that deserves the endorsement of a higher spiritual power that I am aware of; the very nature of politics seems to benefit some at the expense of others.
